The Joy of Volunteering

So yesterday Ti-Ratana welfare was having family fun-fare day, where there were alot of foods (yes, ALOT) selling, games, karaoke, haircut (can you believe that, haircut service at family day?!), eyebrow trimming (lol) etc. Me and my good friend, sister Sakila were there to help set up stalls the day before and on that day itself. Glad that we could finally volunteer our service and contribute something to the society. It was of course tiresome, I ran up and down carrying foods, boxes of drinks, pots of soup and even an ice-cream fridge (of coz, with others helping also la) ! Haha

Despite of the tiresome, I felt the joy. Joy of helping people. Their face of ease when I helped them carrying the foods and drinks especially those aunties and ahmas were struggling to carry their foods to their respective stalls. It made me want to help more and more, and help more I did. Until about 11am when me and Sakila were finally really tired, we went and bought some foods and enjoyed watching some of the dog perfomances.

Too bad I didn't take picture although I brought my camera. But it was an experience worth remembering it.

;)
